Das XCover 6 Pro, funktioniert flüssig, liegt gut in der Hand. Ein schönes Gerät!

Hatte vorher ein Galaxy A52 und wollte ein robustes Handy was mich nicht im Stich lässt. Das CAT S75 war meine erste Wahl, da ich die Satelliten-Funktion interessant fand und die Specs gut aussahen.

Hab es direkt zurück geschickt weil alleine schon der Simkarten-Slot so labberig war, den konnte man mit dem Fingernagel leicht aufmachen und das Display war nicht meins.

Mit dem XCover bin ich super zufrieden nach ein paar Wochen, Akku hält ca. 3 Tage und ich bin öfters bei YouTube und Messengern unterwegs. Der Bildschirm ist top, die Kamera könnte besser sein aber ist ausreichend. Habe noch eine Hülle und eine Displayfolie zusätzlich.

Für den Preis von unter 500€ und mit 4 Jahren garantieren Updates, zudem die Möglichkeit mal simpel nach 2 Jahren den Akku zu tauschen kann ich nur 5/5 vergeben. Wo bekommt man noch einen Klinkenanschluss und wechselbaren Akku, mit 120Hz Display und 50MP Kamera?

Ist für Leute geeignet die nicht das gelistet, beste Insta Handy wollen sondern auf Funktionalität Wert legen.

Das Telefon finde ich wirklich gut. Alles funktioniert tadellos.

Nur die Kamera könnte etwas besser sein. Die Bilder wirken recht blass.

Ansonsten ist es ein super Telefon

Alles, was mir an meinen bisher 2 vorangegegangenen Samsung Galaxy-handies gefallen hat, hat auch das Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro. Dazu eine erstsunlich einfache Verriegelung gegen Wasser und Staub. Und einen einfach und schnell austauschbaren Akku; flexibler geht es kaum. Meine Ersatz-Akkus haben nach vielen Monaten als unbenutzte 'Reserve' noch die vollen 80 %, mit denen ich sie aufgeladen habe. Und das smartphone kann seine eigene Aufladung eben auf 80 %, nach entsprechender Einstellung, begrenzen. Sorgenfrei und entlastend.

Was soll ich sagen? Angenehm schnell, robust, tolles Display und lang-haltender Akku! Wer auf Funktionalität und Robustheit Wert legt, wird mit diesem Handy fündig.

Der Einzige Grund, warum ich das Smartphone gekauft habe, ist, dass man sehr einfach den Akku wechseln kann. Die Rückseite besteht aus einem Plastikdeckel der einfach zu öffnen ist, und dann kann man denAkku entnehmen. Sehr gut.

Yes - swappable, which is important if the device will have second life 5 years in the future.

Other models without possibility to swap in new battery will probably die along glued-in failing old battery.

Coming from phones that use "skinless" versions of Android, I found the use of this phone unnecessarily complicated, frustrating and cumbersome, with simple settings hidden inside apps, other settings in random categories or even missing altogether.

Plus points:

Decent SoC compared to other rugged phones.

Looks like a "normal" phone i.e. not bulky, oversized, but overly heavy.

Mediocre display in brightness, but good refresh rate and meh colour reproduction.

Decent cameras... In ample lighting conditions. (No OIS!)Good button customisation (although missed opportunities, again.)Removable battery (but no OEM item available to purchase.) And a very flimsy back cover.

Dual SIM plus expandable memory.

VoLTE on both SIMS and WiFicalling.(Though not available on most carriers.)Minus points:

Battery life way too short, due to the small battery (4050 mAh) and the LCD display.

As a rugged phone, it should have a much larger battery than regular phones (which, almost all of them have a 5000mAh) and not a smaller or at least, include a spare one in the box.

The screen is LCD and not nearly bright enough for daytime use outside. I mean, Samsung probably make some of the best AMOLED screens, but they chose to install a below average LCD, for a phone that's supposed to be used outside! Why not use an AMOLED screen from the A series?

The UI!... I've been using stock Android phones for the past 10 years. Moto, Nokia, Pixel and the reason I avoid phone from other manufacturers, is this exact reason. The overly heavy and bloaded launchers and One UI, is just that! Double apps of the Google and Samsung variety and a whole bunch of useless Samsung and Microsoft apps, which, you can neither uninstall nor completely disable! Especially the Meta and Microsoft apps, which, in total, amount more than 10GB!

Decently loud, but single, tinny sounding downward speaker.

Face unlock is slow and only works properly in well lit environments, if ever, probably because of the fixed focus front camera.

Power/Fingerprint scanner, although works well, is flash with the phone's chassis and has no texture, therefore, making hard to locate and use, often notifying about "wet fingers" when they're clearly aren't.The volume buttons are placed too high to be reached one handed, while the phone's sides and back, are made of a very slippery hard plastic, making the use of them, mandatory two handed.

The "Waterfall" front camera design makes the phone look cheap, which it most definitely isn't, price wise, at least.

The programmable XCover, top and side buttons, are a missed opportunity, as they're not freely programmable i.e. there are limited assignment options for their customisation. Bixby or camera, torch or camera, Bixby or power menu and a few apps, but no way to assign screenshot function or another specific function, unless you install 2 other apps, specifically for this customisation! Why?

Even with fast changing enabled (15W) it takes about 2 hours to fully charge and the battery gets very hot (46C+) while, with fast charging turned off, (10W) it takes more than that and still gets as hot.

Screen doesn't turn on for notifications, unless you use yet another third party app. I mean, seriously Samsung? You've filled a mere 128GB device with 10's of GB's worth of bloatware, but we still have to download even more apps for its basic functionality?

Changing the incoming messages notification, is something that Samsung doesn't really want you to do, as it's buried deep in the messages settings, which I has to look it up in Samsung support to find clues about it.

Torch is very weak for any real use, especially for an outdoors phone.

To sum it up, it's an overall decent phone, with few good features, but it's let down by the fact that it's full of unistallable bloatware, reminiscent of the Chinese OEM phones and the unfortunate fact that you need a few third party apps, to make it as usable as it should be.

For the average user, like myself, it's a frustrating experience, though after a few days of searching and a lot of customisation, I finally turned it into an almost decenty functioning phone.

P.S. Since it's essentially an A52s, but more expensive, why didn't Samsung use its three core components to make it worthwhile?:1) The AMOLED screen,2) The bigger battery,3) The 64MP camera?

In essence, you're better off with an A35 or A55, for about the same money.
